Easy to use. Simply remove it from the red protective sheath. Insert the pointed end into at least 1 1/2-inches of the meat's thickest part. Make sure the end isn't touching bone. Slide the red target temperature indicator next to the desired temperature, and place the meat in the oven, slow cooker, or grill. Check the thermometer periodically as it cooks, and remove the meat from the oven, slow cooker, or grill when the dial reaches the target temperature.
